Bright Ideas is the curiosity-inducing theme for the upcoming edition of TEDxUHasselt. With this theme we are going back to the basics of TED, which is all about spreading innovative and sometimes even controversial ideas.

Our aim this year is to present world-class speakers on our stage, in order for the audience to enrich their lives by gaining new experiences which they would otherwise never encounter. In addition to this, they can extensively develop their skills during the workshops and network with other TED enthusiasts, speakers and partners. As organisers, we hope that the wide range of opportunities will leave a lasting impression on the attendees.

The event

On the day of the event, you'll receive your namebadge at the entrance which contains a link to apply for a workshop and your lunch preference.

TEDxUHasselt is an independently organized TED event. A place where you learn about cutting-edge ideas and connect with interesting people.

TEDxUHasselt was founded in 2011 by three Hasselt University students and has remained a student-driven organization ever since.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
